This new product version joins Prisma Electronics tire pressure gauge HPM4 with an infrared Sensor (PYR2-IR) and a K-Type Thermocouple probe for having a complete solution to measure tire pressure and tire temperature in the racing application.

The infrared sensor is ideal for the tire surface temperature measurement thanks to its fast response time (0.1 sec) while the K-Type thermocouple probe is ideal to measure tires’ compound temperature at specific points.

This digital tire pressure gauge with dual pyrometer has been engineered for the tire specialist who wants to know exactly how to optimize racing tires’ performance.

With our digital tire pressure gauge with dual pyrometer, you have a complete and unique tool for measuring tire pressure and temperature with high accuracy and precision.

You can choose whether to measure the temperature of air, asphalt, and tires with the needle probe or with the infrared sensor.

WHY DO YOU NEED THE DUAL TECHNOLOGY FOR TIRE TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT?

It is useful to have in the same device a thermocouple probe to measure the tire compound temperature at specific points and an infrared sensor to measure the tire surface and average temperature. This is the reason why we have engineered this device with Dual Technology.

It is possible to set the Infrared Sensor or Thermocouple Probe to measure the tire compound temperature.

Infrared Sensor

With our digital tire pressure gauge with dual pyrometer, you can quickly measure the tire surface temperature with a time response of 0.1 sec. Using the features of the FOV (35°) you can measure the average tire temperature while, for more info about the tire temperature, you can also utilize the IR sensor.

K-Type Thermocouple Probe

With the k-type thermocouple probe, it is possible to measure the compound temperature at three different points (EXTERNAL – INTERMEDIATE – INTERNAL) to understand the dynamic setup of the vehicle. For example, if you have a BLISTERING or GRAINING effect, it is possible to measure the tire compound temperature at these points.

Measure and save COLD and HOT tire pressures thanks to the PRESSURE mode. The display shows pressure differences, time/data info, and air temperature for each session.

By pressing the MODE button it is possible to switch to TEMPERATURE MODE. Measure and save AIR and TRACK temperatures and 12 different points of tire temperature (ex. EXTERNAL – INTERMEDIATE – INTERNAL) for each set.

EASY TO USE

It is possible to set the Infrared Sensor or the Tire Probe simply by pressing the MODE button. The display will show K if the Thermocouple Probe is activated or O if the Infrared Sensor is activated.

It is not necessary to calibrate the instrument. An internal microprocessor procedure checks the accuracy of the sensor each time it is turned on.

The battery type within the HiPreMa 4 product line is CR2450. The average battery life is about 2 years. The display shows the battery charge status.
Use only good quality batteries : SONY – DURACELL – PANASONIC.

All instruments have the option to be set for either AUTO or MOTO. Through the instrument menu, you can choose the type of vehicle, whether it be AUTO or MOTO, and many other settings.
